Can someone please send me the correct links for driver downloads for Dell Optiflex 755 desktop as my drivers are missing? I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit. I've looked on the internet but cannot find anything. Please help.
Download Pci Serial Port Driver For Windows 7 32 Bit
Thanks for your suggestions. The PCI serial port driver & PCI simple communications controller driver are missing. I receive a scrambled picture when I try to transfer video via USB converter. Please help!
I downloaded some similar drivers that worked for me on a Dell Optiplex 755. Keep in mind, the install programs did not want to run, however, once the folder were extracted, I simply pointed the "update driver" option at each directory and it found them quickly both times.(Basically I used any of the Vista 32-bit drivers for the 755 and they worked - including the sound card driver.)Intel AMT HECI A01 R194011.exe Intel AMT SOL/ LMS A01 R194010.exe
I have checked the HP drivers download page but could not find anything. The only drivers I saw were for windows Xp and vista which I tried downloading and installing but got error message that it does not support the operating system.
You do not need to download drivers for this product. Print drivers for your product are available within the Windows 7 operating system. Use Devices and Printers, formerly known as the Add Printer Wizard, to obtain the Windows 7 update.
CH382 is a PCI-Express based dual-channel UARTs and printer port chipcontains Dual UARTs which compatible with 16C550 or 16C750, and a EPP/ECP enhanced bi-directional parallel port. The UART supports independently transmit and receive 256 bytes FIFO buffer. Supports IrDA infrared encode and decode, supports communication baud rate up to 8Mbps. It can be used for RS232 serial expansion, PCIe high-speed serial with automatic hardware speed control, serial networking, RS485 communications, parallel/ printer port expansion etc.
BAD PROCESSOR CHIPS?! Does some serial port cards really have bad processor chips? ABSOLUTELY! Unless you invest in a PCI serial card with a quality processor and chipset you will very likely, at some point, experience either a computer freeze, driver errors, being unable to communicate with your serial device or even a BSoD. The reason is that most low-cost PCI serial cards are designed with a low-cost processor which has low-cost poorly written drivers, which obviously results in headaches for the user.
Our Premium RS232 PCI Serial card shown in the image above uses a quality processor (MCS9835) from MosChip Technology/ASIX which provides superior performance and reliability at unmatched data transfer rates. The card adds two high-speed 9-pin serial COM ports to any PCI equipped (unlike USB based) computer with drivers available for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32/64-bit, DOS, Linux and Windows CE.
After installing the downloadable drivers the created COM ports will automatically show up in your operating system's Device Manager as two additional ports. Since these ports are PCI based they can be used as if it was standard built-in COM ports.
Both RS232 serial ports share same IRQ which saves valuable resources if other expansion cards are used. Easy Plug and Play installation automatically configures the next available COM port and IRQ address. COM ports can also easily be renamed within your operating system's Device Manager.
The PCI serial card is an easy and reliable way of adding serial ports to your computer. When shopping for a PCI serial card it is important that you choose a card which is suitable and compatible for your serial device and computer. Of high importance is the chipset of the card. There are many models and brands of chipsets, we recommend a serial PCI card chip from either Moschip or FTDI, these processors have proved to be effective and reliable in most applications. The typical serial card contains one or two serial COM ports however it is also available in multi-port versions.
Once the drivers for the serial card has been successfully installed a COM port will show up in your operating system's Device Manager where you can configure several port settings, if your serial PCI card has good drivers. Some cards with poorly written drivers cannot be configured. The COM port that shows up in Device Manager, created by the serial card and the drivers can be used as if it was a built-in COM port. Since the COM ports created with a serial PCI card are actual physical COM ports, not virtual COM ports, they can be used with almost any serial device, even latency sensitive devices since there are no data delays. Unlike USB based serial cards which due to the virtual COM port drivers have a substantial data delay which can make communication with some sensitive serial devices impossible.
Some low-cost PCI cards has jumpers which needs to be set in order for you to be able to communicate with a particular device. This is kind of old fashioned since most newer serial cards are automatically configured to match your serial device. You will however still be able to adjust several port settings in your operating systems device manager, such as baud rate, data bits and in some cases timing.
DriverGuide maintains an extensive archive of Windows drivers available for free download. We employ a team from around the world which adds hundreds of new drivers to our site every day. How to Install Drivers Once you download your new driver, then you need to install it. To install a driver in Windows, you will need to use a built-in utility called Device Manager. It allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.
The Driver Update Utility automatically finds, downloads and installs the right driver for your hardware and operating system. It will Update all of your drivers in just a few clicks, and even backup your drivers before making any changes.
The PCI2S1P PCI Serial/Parallel Combo Card turns a PCI slot into two external 16C550 serial ports and one external EPP/ECP parallel port - an all-in-one solution that gives you both parallel and serial connections while taking up only one PCI slot.
The serial/parallel combo card is PCI plug and play ready and supports IRQ sharing for fast, simple installation. The combo card is supported in virtually any Microsoft Windows operating environment (Windows 7, Server 2008 R2, Vista, XP, ME, 2000, 98, 95 and NT4), and is backed by a StarTech.com Lifetime Warranty and free lifetime technical support.
Older applications that use serial communication often use legacy hardware addresses that do not work with PCI, PCIe, or USB to Serial products. We recommend contacting the software provider/support team to check if this is the case.
You can check multiple ports at the same time by opening multiple sessions, putting the loopback adapter on one port, and trying to type into each session. When you can see what you are typing, you know that the COM port is working and you can see which port number the physical serial port is. Close the window for the port that you just tested to speed up the testing of the remaining serial ports.
Use a different serial or parallel cable, serial or parallel port, and serial or parallel device in your setup to see if the problem persists. Ideally, you should test a component that you know works in another setup.
Make sure that the COM or LPT port number is the correct number for the serial or parallel device and that the software being used to connect the computer to the serial or parallel device uses the correct COM or LPT port number.
If you do not see the COM or LPT port number in Device Manager see this FAQ for PCI/PCIe expansion cards: -us/faq/pci-pcie-cannot-boot-os-or-detect-windows\n\tor this FAQ for USB devices: -us/faq/usb-cannot-detect-windows
virtio drivers are KVM's paravirtualized device drivers, available for Windows guest virtual machines running on KVM hosts. These drivers are included in the virtio-win package. The virtio-win package supports block (storage) devices, network interface controllers, video controllers, memory ballooning device, paravirtual serial port device, entropy source device, paravirtual panic device, and a small set of emulated devices.
The virtio-win package contains the virtio (block, network, and other) drivers for all supported Windows guest virtual machines.Note: The virtio-win package can be found here. Search for virtio-win and click Download Latest. It requires access to one of the following channels:
Note that the Red Hat Virtualization Hypervisor and Red Hat Enterprise Linux are created on the same code base, so the drivers for the same version (for example, Red Hat Virtualization Hypervisor 4.0 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3) are supported for both environments.
There are up to eight devices available: the memory ballooning device, the paravirtual serial port device, the network device, the block device, the SCSI block device, the entropy source device, the emulated PCI serial port device, and the paravirtual panic device. Additionally, the video device is available in the Display adapters group.
Windows standard driver will be loaded if you inserted the USB device in the USB port of the PC with Windows 10/Windows 11 which does not install Active USB-COM Port Driver. The USB device does not support the operation with the Windows standard driver. Please use it after installing Active USB-COM Port Driver by all means. 2ff7e9595c
